Business Development Strategist

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business Development Strategist is responsible for assisting with due dilligence, performance and benchmarkin analysis, processing portfolio company data, preparing investment memos and summaries and additional support. Will develop and update complex business and financial models, including dynamic corporate, M&A, and valuation models. Responsibilities: Contributing to the development of project plans – identifying objectives, scope, deliverables, and work plan monitoring and reporting Supporting the Corporate Development team with identification, evaluation, due diligence and execution of potential acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, and joint ventures Identifying and recommending process improvement and tool enhancements Conducting financial and strategic analysis on a variety of strategy projects, including: Assessing market size, growth, and profitability for current and adjacent markets Detailed company profitability analysis Conducting detailed competitive analysis, including assessing competitor strategies, business models, financial position, and public market performance Building financial models and projections for strategic initiatives, including valuation models Collecting and interpreting/synthesizing required data/information for financial models Working closely with internal groups to support various projects and initiatives. Competencies: Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to synthesize data and information and communicate through presentation formats. Adept in analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem solving with the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Advanced Excel modeling skills, comfortable with working with large data sets. Demonstrated experience with PowerPoint is a necessity, preferably at an advanced level Ability to work well both independently and on a team. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills including the ability to effectively work with personnel across all levels of the organization, often under tight timelines. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Preferred Education and Experience: 3+ years of experience in a variety of highly analytical roles – e.g., finance, corporate development, strategy, investment banking, public accounting / management consulting, or similar role(s), including analysis of public market and private market companies. Bachelor’s Degree with major in Business, Finance, or Accounting required Previous experience analyzing data and making recommendations to achieve strategic goals. Understanding of iGaming space. Performs other duties as assigned.
